Project Description
Gas stations use energy, a lot of energy. However, the building footprint is usually not big enough to offset that much of their usage. We have a solution to utilize the gas station canopy. This underutilized space is perfect for solar.
Our customer has several stores throughout the Midwest that we’ve installed this solution on, receiving USDA REAP grants on each facility.
The Results and Details
This combined 190 kW solar project is compromised of the following:
- 3 seperate arrays: canopy, roof, car wash
- 3 mounting desins: ballasted, rails, & direct purlin attachment
- 2 interconnection points
- 50% funded by a REAP Grant
