sometimes a solution to a problem requires a little creativity. This client did not have enough roof space to fully offset their usage. They did have some land on the property adjacent to their building. However, they had ideas for this land.
So, a “solar structure” was built that allowed for almost 300 kW system and storage underneath for equipment used in their business. Similar to car ports, solar strucutres are an excellent way to get multiple uses for their solar investment.
The Results and Details
The 300 kW solar PV project is compromised of the following:
- Customized solar structure built to store equipment and produce kWh from the sun
- 10 Solectria inverters
- 562 500 kW Trina PV modules
- Over 400,000 kWh energy produced in the 1st year
