Car Port – Parking Garage

Car ports are rapidly becoming one of the more popular choices for solar installations.  They often produce more renewable energy than roof top applications because they typically have more surface area in a parking lot and less obstructions such as HVAC units that a typical flat roof may have. In addition, they provide protection from the elements are very aesthetically pleasing.                                                                                                                                                                                                This project in southern California did just that – allowed the property owner to build a 250-kW car port structure on top of a parking garage providing shade for their customers.
