Project Description
Metal roofs are ideal for solar. They often have ridges where specially designed clamps and rails are used to fasten PV modules to the building. This particular project has multiple buildings, each of which get its power from its own meter.
We designed a system where each building had its own array and offset its own particular meter, achieving significant offset for each one. This project was installed in several phases, one of which applied and received 50% Federal funding thru a grant that we submit for our clients.
The Results and Details
This PV system is over 400 kW and is compromised of the following:
- Multiple arrays offsetting multple meters
- IronRidge rail mounting system on multiple buildings
- Project installed in multiple phases
- Received 50% REAP grant on Phase 2
